Research shows that first impressions really count. People make judgments about someone based on a quick glance, which creates a lasting impression. It can be anything from as little as 3 seconds for people to make up their mind about you. 55% is made through behaviour and appearance – your visual impact, 38% on tone of voice and only 7% is based on what you actually say.
Getting a job in these times is tough, but people need to do more to help themselves in terms of harnessing life and image skills. Too much attention is put on a CV which is hardly bringing candidates alive and making them viable for the role they are applying for. Does anyone agree?
